Let’s see I had my 7th year anniversery working for Danversbank this year and was rewarded by being promoted to Senior Commercial Loan Assistant. I also left the Danvers office in October 2005 and moved to the new Boston office. I work for two loan officers who already worked in Boston but moved from 101 Federal Street to our new office at One Post Office Square on the 37th floor. It is a very nice office and I enjoy the new tasks and change of view. On the home front I have been remodeling the backyard, I put up a new fence and lined it with a stone trim and filled it in with some red cedar mulch. I also had my basement door redone, thanks in large part to my good friend Mark Glennon. We are in talks to refinance the house and put on an addition, take down the garage and maybe remodel the kitchen and do this over the next three or four years.
Speaking of the home front, Kate started a new job at the beginning of the year and after close to 7 years with Vinn Finn and working in Watertown, MA it was time for a change. Kate now works for Riverside Community with a main office in Deedham, but she works out of their Melrose, MA house. It was a big change for Kate as over the last 7 years Kate had been working for Vinn Finn in a Mental Retardation (MR) house and now she works in a Mental Health (MH) house. I think she is slowly ajusting to the new change and settleing in very nicely.
But the biggest change was the birth of our son last year, so it was tough for Kate and I for awhile with the job changes and adjusting to having the most wonderful kid on the planet living at our house. Thomas is a joy and a blessing, he brings smiles to both our faces everyday and couldn’t be more proud parents. I think the newly found grandparents are enjoying having him around as much Kate and I do.
Well I think that covers most of what’s been going on, but I would be in trouble with Kate if I didn’t mention the pain in the butt cats that we have. Both Gwen A/K/A “Baby” and Merlin A/K/A Merl are both doing fine and I think they are more afraid of Thomas than Thomas is afraid of them. Both are a pain in the butt with their consant meawing but we love them and wouldn’t trade them in for anything.
So that updates you on what the Gallaghers are up to.
